Hallstrom Excited for American-Canadian Tour Debut at Home Track This Weekend

Inside Line Promotions – NORTHFIELD, Vt. (May 4, 2018) – Evan Hallstrom and Hallstrom Motorsports are excited to get the race season started this weekend at their home track of Thunder Road International Speedbowl with the American-Canadian Tour.

“I’m excited to get back behind the wheel,” Hallstrom said. “It’s been such a long offseason. We’ve spent a lot of time in the shop getting prepared for the season and I’ve been busy with events as a guest speaker, but I’m ready to get a race in.”

The 20th annual Community Bank N.A. 150 was scheduled to take place last weekend at the oval in Barre, Vt., but was postponed because of inclement weather. The event will now take place this weekend with a car show and practice session on Saturday and the 150-lap feature on Sunday.

This weekend will also be Hallstrom’s debut with the American-Canadian Tour, but at a track he knows very well.

“I’ve been going to Thunder Road my entire life so I’ve seen a lot of races there,” he said. “It will be interesting to see what I can apply from watching outside of the car to actually being in the seat. The ACT Tour will be something to adjust to as well. There is no qualifying. We just draw a pill and heat race. Our heat race finish will determine the starting spot so it’s important we get a good draw and heat race finish to make the feature.”

Hallstrom plans to compete weekly at Thunder Road International Speedway as well as split seat time between the American-Canadian Tour and the Pro All Stars Series North this season.
