Inside Line Promotions – OXFORD, Maine – (July 18, 2018) – Evan Hallstrom took notes and soaked up the experience of his super late model debut last Saturday at Oxford-Plains Speedway.

“The debut went good and I’m already ready for the next super late model race,” he said. “Seat time in the car was really the biggest thing we were trying to get under our belt. We were able to get up to speed enough to feel comfortable qualifying and running the feature.”

The Hallstrom Motorsports driver qualified 19th quickest to kick off the action. That lined him up on the inside of the 10th row for the feature event.

“We were a little far back in the field, but that was okay because that gave us an opportunity to learn how these cars handle in traffic and the drivability to see if we could move forward,” he said.

Hallstrom maneuvered his way forward, picking off six positions to finish 13th.

“I definitely learned a lot with my super late model debut,” he said. “It’s easier to fill holes and handle with more motor and tires than the late model. I’m really happy with how it went and looking forward to the next race.”

Hallstrom will return to his late model this Thursday for 150 laps around Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, Vt., during the VP Racing Fuels Vermont Governor’s Cup.
